@Boogyman has a setup that looks pretty easy to make. Not sure about the etiquette of re-posting other's posts, so I'm just tagging him. The link is also in his sig.

Mine doesn't work in toppers but it's stout. I've had zero issues with it

Wanted to avoid drilling into my truck and didn't want to spend a ton of money. I have about a 10 ft 3 in clearance with 7ft poles. I have drove all over florida without wacking them on trees. Fresh coats of spray paint keep it looking nice.image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Supplies ran about 60$ with leftovers to make another.

nice i spent 110 on mine which i think was a heck of a deal. Also no drilling required direct fit to our side rails with bolt, washer and nut combo...also has a safety "loop" to attach a chain and lock for extra safety :)

Here's my setup. Spent around $30.

The 2 threaded holes on the front bed looked lonely so I hooked them up with rod holders. Items used :
    Laying around the house 2x4
    (2) M6 -1.0 x 60mm Flat Head Phillips (from home depot)
3 rod holder from academy plus bought another single rod holder to make it 4.
And Small bungees to strap down my rods just in case.

Nice set up man, I like how it blends into the truck. Looks sturdy and durable for sure.

That is exactly what I need. Custom made, I'm guessing? I need something sturdy.

Only works with my ultralights in the short bed but keeps them secure and leaves the entire bed for the little bass hunter ex boat.

A little boat but won't flip and i don't need to pull a trailer. Great for shallow water and perfect to stand and bowfish on. I have neglected my kayak since getting it.
