Here you go guys. Did my Headstrong lift kit yesterday. The UCA's were kind of a beast but I got it done. It is off to the alignment shop today and then the tire shop before Friday. Here is a before and after. The before is kind of crappy. I also took before measurements and after the alignment I'll provide all the numbers. 2016-08-14 08.00.34.jpg 2016-08-14 17.15.19.jpg

What size tires/wheels do you plan to install? It is funny how much smaller the stock wheels look after a lift.

Good choice. I put 275s on mine the day before the lift and it rubbed really bad at about 1/2 lock.

I am thinking I will stick with 16's and go up to 285's but not sure. Haven't really decided. It's going to be what I can get the best deal on. The Discount Tire by my house has put 6 sets of tires on cars that I've owned so I have good report with the manager. We'll see.

Also, I got the permission to move on the tires quickly because my wife said the truck looks goofy. It was a solid fist pump moment while installing it. They do look tiny though.

Man Headstrong was the most useful resource ever. They are so nice and quick to reply. I bet they thought Id never buy anything. Like a guy in a bookstore reading the magazines instead of buying them.

Installed my Mobtown front recovery bar. It lets me put a pair of recovery shackles up front and gives me a 2" receiver for my cradle mounted winch. @Mobtown Offroad Thanks for a great product!

Did you plan it that way so the wife would let you move quickly on the wheels or was it a bonus? Either way, I will have to remember that....great tactic!

What do you guys recommend for floor mats? Weather tech, Toyota or Husky?

I did not plan it. I actually didn't know the tires were going to look so goofy. I guess I never thought how tall 3 inches would be. It's pretty dramatic.

Got Husky Weatherbeaters in my truck, and so far they're boot proof. My boots have ripped a hole in every other set of mats I've had until these. They clean easy too. Recommend.

Unfortunately I already took it. More unfortunately I took it to a shop that said they specialize in lifted trucks. Come to find out they specialize in spacer lifts. They lied. When I looked at the spec sheet for the alignment one side was way out of spec and they said it's just the way lifted trucks are. I told them the UCA's were adjustable by several degrees and that there was an adjustment plate under the control arm. He blinked at me and said "well I didn't know that". Needless to say they are putting it back on the rack.

Cool! I'm getting the same thing from them. How was the install? Pretty straightforward?

After installing the K & N I felt that the air dam was holding back another 0.08 horsepower so I ditched it. I guess now I will get the lower control arm wind howl. I do like the look better except for the skinny 265/70 tires.
