    Hey guys

I've noticed that there is a fairly significant accumulation of water in the passenger foot well when I run the AC. It looks like it is dripping from somewhere under the glove box back where the floor meets up with the dash. I assume there is some line that should lead to the outside to allow the AC condensation to drain and it is likely clog.

Any of you know that system well enough to point me in the right direction for where to look?

    Thanks
    D

Mine gets clogged a few times a year. I use a peace of wire to stick in it to uncloge.

thanks guys. mine wasn't clogged but it looks like the rubber connector that goes through the firewall separated from the AC unit end of things so it was just draining straight into the cab.

so far i'm finding that its a huge PITA to get any leverage by the headers there to push that rubber connector back through the hole and hope it lines up with the AC nozzle on the other side... ugh

What I did was just to push it thru enough to grab it with a pair of clamps (model making type aka roach clip) and used a real small hose clamp to keep it on the nipple so it does not come back off. It may take 2 people to get it where you can grab hold of it. Also mine was missing the metal elbow that lets it drain straight down (they get lost all the time and Toyota does not sell them) Then went to Home Depot and bought a elbow and hose clamped that on also.

its better to use a shop vac to suck it out so you pull the object out rather then push a hole in the blob. its usually a jelly like blob from stagnant water that gets in the way, it can sometimes look like pudding. I did a/c work for 40 years and you would not believe what just water can turn into and the mardi-gras looking different colors it can have in an a/c drain (rust orange, purple, green, and red)
