I've been holding off buying mine because its been to hot here to install but I think I'm just going to stock the cooler and tackle this. How long did it take to install his kit?

I'm not very mechanical, so about 2 hours.
    Matt provides AMAZING instructions though.

Back when the 2016 Tacoma was on the Toyota website they listed a LED bed light accessory kit. I took the part number to my dealer for ordering. He said it appeared to be a Tundra part but was certain his installer could make it work. He was correct. This item is probably the exact same thing .. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2016-T...89-/361429603291?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

My truck came with these LED bed lights factory installed. They are on the window sticker as a port installed option by SE Toyota. They are coded as BU100 for the small price of $269. Lucky for me they were installed by mistake, so I didn't have to pay for them. :)

I too, have the Toyota distributor installed lights. Do what they are supposed to, but look kinda odd in daylight, like some kind of sensor or something. Definitely look aftermarket.Everyone who has peeked into the bed asks, what those things are...:)
No way in hell I'd pay the distributor add on list price of $259 tho.... well I guess I did, actually.

Did you run the power wire from the engine bay under the cab along the frame rails? Or did you install through the cab?

I ran up the drivers side the hardest part is where the gas tank is I used a electrical wire snake to pass it thru then I went right up into the engine compartment and tied right into the battery. I did take of the compartment in the bed it made hooking up the wires easy and I just passed all the wire down.
