I just bought a set of front and rear exterior door handles in black from a TW user and I need to find the instructions on how to swap them out. I've done my best to search but I cant find a good writeup or youtube video. Can someone help me out? Thanks!!

I've got the torx screw out and pulled the metal rod off but the handle still seems firmly attached. whats the next move?

Im not really understanding those directions posted above. I got the front ones with no problems. On the first ones, you have to remove the locking mechanism to be able to slide the handle out. How do I get to the torx screw on the back ones to pull the lock out and slide the door handle out? I have the panel taken off.

After removing the latch assy. on the rear door, I think used a torx socket on a long extension to reach the bolt on the handle cap. I did this project about 2 years ago so I'm going by memory. The latch does not need to be removed completely from the door, just remove the three bolts and drop the latch out of the way to access the handle end cap bolt.

Got it! Here's the fix: on the rear doors, when you slide the long handle in to place from the exterior, reach inside the door and pull the latch up. Then pop the handle into place and let go of the latch so that it catches on top of the handle.

Then, pop in the second, smaller piece of the handle on the exterior and hold it in place as you screw the torx screw in to lock it in.
