What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The couple I've seen have it plumbed into the filler neck with a Y.

 

It's a 3rd gen now...

 

Did this today. It added about 15 more hp to it.

I went with a whole gauge face a while back..

 

Squeezed in a trial fit. Fits nice. Have the lights facing forward and only need to adjust vertically. Got the spot pattern, so I want them out far so I can still run low beam & fogs on forest/logging roads. Lovin' that 12v cigarette lighter cord with built in switch. Found a nice place to run that out to my passenger rear door, then up onto my rack. Like I mentioned earlier, I'll really only use these Oct & Nov, so I can disconnect quickly. I cut off the plugs from the factory wiring harness and will use those as dummies for weather protection when not in use. Suckers are bright!!

 

Seen a bunch like that too. I'm after a proper long range factory replacement or secondary tank like a Titan or Transfer Flow. If I need to carry a refueling system to top off my small factory tank, I'll just carry some jerry cans.

 

I've stalked Titan's spare-tire additional tanks several times, but technically, they're only available for diesel trucks. I've kind of picked up that there's some regulation (US, anyway) about not carrying gasoline below the frame.

But then I see bro-mobiles around town with red fuel cells in the spare tire spot labeled "fuel safe." Anybody know what the actual laws are?

Looks good! Hope it works out for you. I'm adding another layer to mine next week. Probably wont help much more than what's already in there, but it'll make me feel better.

 

Haven't cared much for the UG but I like where you mounted yours. Will that still close?

Does the UG est miles remaining on gas? I miss that in me ole BMW.

 

Yep she shuts. And yes it can do miles to empty also.

Yeah, I'm with ya. Lazy. I'll try the 303 deal. At least I know I can google that. I just want to make sure it does protect all the rubber and plastic. Thanks you guys.
