Well I got scared borrowing from the forum peeps since I am fairly new with all of this and I didn't want to mess up tools. I rented some from the parts store in the meantime :burp:

Oh my bad... yeah if you're that far east there are a few dispersed campsites. There's a great one I stayed at last year off a spur just as you get to the three campsites that are right at the junction of trails on 559.

Hey Guys, So here was this weekend's haul!

I've already started the next list of TW Members interested in these and am keeping it open to you Colorado dudes since @Martyinco is making a trip down to Phoenix for the pick up in a couple weeks... A lot of these are headed to CO! But we still have a little bit of room for some more (space is restricted though) so I'm doing this on a first come / first serve basis. Below these pics, I've listed how it works...

    [IMG][IMG]
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    HOW IT WORKS:

If you are interested in getting some hard military-grade plastic cases/boxes for camping gear, tools, recovery equipment, etc... I've started creating "shopping lists" based off TW member's desired specs (preferred brands if any, color preferences, size restrictions, dimensions, wheels or no wheels, and anything else, etc). Once I have enough people who are interested (including Phoenix dudes) and have established what each of you are looking for, I will check out my local resources (mainly technology companies) and see if I can find anything that suites each persons needs. I can find these in used condition for a fraction of the price new. Since I am located in Phoenix, Marty is coming to do a pick on September 17th to grab a bunch of these to bring back to Colorado with him. If you have questions regarding this, please contact him. I'm hoping to make one more shopping trip before he arrives, so if any of you are interested in this opportunity, send me a PM.

    I've found the following brands:

-Pelican (2975s, 1550s, 1650s and 1660s are popular and easy for me to find)
    -Pelican-Hardigg
-Hardigg (Which are what my personal ones are, but harder to find)
-ECS (very hard to find in practical sizes, if you want to go really big, these can be an option)
-SKB (Usually rather expensive, and usually awkward sizes, but usually close to brand new!)

Color wise, most of the cases I find are black or dark army green. Occasionally I'll find grey ones, and rarely do I find tan ones.

I've seen all sorts of sizes/dimensions, so if you want something specific in that regard let me know, but giving me a range is really helpful!

As for pricing... One of the reasons I'm making the list of interested buyers is that often times I can get a good discount on the cases if I buy them in bulk. Usually the prices can range from $80-$140 each depending on the case (mainly size dependent). Again, They are also all USED cases but finding functional ones in good condition isn't a problem. Almost all of which are weatherproof and some still have their pressure release valves in working order (which is nice if you are changing elevations often). Once we have established your desired specs, I'll ask for your phone number for when I go shopping so that I can text you about what I am finding before I buy em! If I find what you are looking for and you confirm that you are okay with me purchasing them for you, I'm going to ask to be paid up front via paypal or square. Marty is only asking for a $5-10 delivery fee... which he will collect whenever you guys schedule a meet up.

Sound good? Send me a PM!

Ok update on the springs. It will run you 630$ for a stock weight spring pack with an addition of up to 200lbs ontop of stock. Then Its 10$ per 100lbs over that.

He will take 50$ off for each person if we have 10 people.

So say i have 1000lbs over stock it would be 630$ + 80$ (1000lbs-200lbs then at 10$ for every hundred) =710$-50$=660$ for the total.

He said shipping to denver area is 60-100$ depending on who he ships it with so you can say you save another 60$+ on top of that.

I know it does not sound like a lot but when these are custom made per each truck that is all discounted off their labor to build them. He also stated that shops only get 30$ off so this is as good as it gets.

The color is freaking awesome! But, I heard getting the paint match is a b****. From what I hear, Toyota is not going to have this color in production all year long, 3 months on and 3 months off. I am not sure how true that is or for what reason. That is what I hear in the 3rd Gen articles.

I have never had experience on wrapping a vehicle so I am not sure what the life span is of the wrap itself especially in CO with temp fluctuation, hail, rain, snow, mag chloride...etc

Let me go grab the Gazetteer and give you a road number for this spot. It'll be on your right as you're driving in. Large junction of trails with two huge (and often trashed) campsites. This road spur is on the right just past the campsite on the right.

Of all the spots on the east side of the pass it was extremely secluded and quiet. The road literally just ends and that's your spot. It's marked by a Blair Witch sort of contraption.
