Does anyone know if any of the Yakima landing pads fit the Toyota factory mounting points set for the factory roof rack?

Did you figure this out? If you didn't get Yakima Landing Pads working what did you end up doing?

My cap rack setup does not handle longer loads without significant overhang.

I believe it was landing pad 11. I was able to use included bolt. I was just able to get the screw to thread and suck it down. I carried well over 300 lbs on the rack like this. Worked very well. I did also add some 100% clear silicone into the facotry screw hole before attaching, leaving access around for added seal. Hope this helps. Also, I used the 2nd mounting location, just between the doors. You could go further to the front, there is another mounting location, but you may hit your head getting into your truck if you have running borads, depending on how you enter.20140306_083553.jpg

Also, I did not cut the rubber trim, I drilled a pilot hole exactly over the mounting hole. This helped when I sold my truck and removed the rack, it was not noticeable unless you knew it was there and got up on top to see it.

Another option, on my newest truck, I mounted a yakima track mount using the expandable threaded nuts through the roof. Sealed well and I like this better.
Ill send pics of this later.

Thanks. Sorry, missed where you posted this info on the Thule ditch thread

Your pics of the Yakima Landing Pad 11 look good. My only concern is with the taller rear tower height on the Leer 180 cap. Going to pop off one of the crossbars and test it.

Height of the cap is higher than the cab.

@wenkev can you share a few pics of this? You used landing pad 7 for the new install? Cheers!

@ChandlerDOOM makes sense, it's a narrower landing pad, thanks.

I used the Landing Pad 11 per wenkev's guidance. As he mentioned, the Yakima kit includes M6x50 hardware that works in the factory ditch holes. Relocated one cross bar over the cab and centered one on the cap.

It looks like it's going to work on the 3rd gen with the landing pad 11 and included mounting hardware. I may get a longer M6 bolt, but we'll see. I plan to get it set up this weekend and will post pics when I do.

My main concern is that the front crossbar may end up tilting a bit forward because of the curvature of the roof.

I actually installed the LP11 yesterday. It worked, with yes longer bolt, BUT starting at 30-40mph, the whole cab is vibrating, deep low frequency vibration. Goes away and comes back at around 50 to 60mph. NOT GOOD in my opinion. I'm using Yakima jetstreams.
I'm going to get rid of this setup and just put 2 crossbars on my camper shell.
I liked the idea of one crossbar on the cab and one on the shell but those vibrations cannot be healthy for the truck.

Update: I test drove the setup again and no vibration. The only diference is I took off the surf pads I had on the crossbars. I'm probably going to keep everything now. Too bad that LP11 is so damn big.
