Uniballs don't pull out of their socket when you pick a poor line or hit a hard edge going to fast. Like what happened in your picture when you ball joint failed

If you had a uniball in the pictures posted you may have bent something else like a tie Rod but your wheel and steering knuckle more than likely wouldn't be stuck under your frame

I don't see how a ball joint does that and a uniball wouldn't..

A uniball is in the cup with a bolt all the way through it. There's there's the c clip holding it in as well. The hall joint just fall out the spindle adapter piece. The uniball will just get play, not fall out of the cup

I've never seen one that does. Especially as easy as ball joints will let go

Look at how often it happens in 1gen lt. Have you seen it happen with second gen lt? That in itself should give you an idea of how often it happens compared to ball joints

Not to mention 2nd gen balljoints don't have the pressure pulling down on them like 1st gens

How many failures are seen on first gen's with uniballs? I haven't seen one yet. But I've seen moren than I can count on 2 hands when it comes to ball joints

I'm not a big first gen guy. How many of the competitive 1st gen's racing are running ball joints?

Yea but those have custom fab spindles.

There isn't an easy way to run uniballs on 1st gens period or it would be a common thing.

Ball joints work fine as long as you replace them. If you're hard on your rig. Swap em every 50k which is about all you'd get out of a uniball

Dirt designs. He came up with a cool idea for a horizontal lower uniball.
