Thanks! Dust/Dirt/Debris is primarily why I got my snorkel, with no inner fender my air intake was fully exposed. Changed my air filter 3 times in a short period because of it..

Scored new Denso spark plugs for my upcoming 30k maintenance. RockAuto had 5% off for Labor Day. $20 shipped for 6 plugs.

Promised @EatSleepTacos I'd report back on how the Trasharoo works slung around the tail gate (instead of a tire swing). Apologies if this isn't the right place to continue the conversation...

First off, I frickn' love the thing. We filled up two full bags and it handled it like a pro. While camping, I slung it around my shell's rack like this:

    IMG_7372.jpg

Not ideal, but it worked great nonetheless. Easy enough to access and secure.

    Back on the gate, loaded:

    IMG_7384_JPG.jpg

Loaded and slung downwards. Felt super secure. I was worried that it might leak in this position, but it performed great. The gate was easy to open and close; just a little heavier than usual.

    IMG_7388.jpg

With the shell window closed. Not my favorite part about this set up because it doesn't look clean at all, but it works great.

    IMG_7386.jpg

Bonus pic with dog. You can see how I mounted it this way.

    IMG_7392 2.jpg

PROS: I love the ethos of the Trasharoo and it held up just great and served it's purpose perfectly regardless of not having a spare/tire swing out to mount it on. I will definitely use it again like this.

CONS: It's sort of a PIA to mount it like this around the gate because you have to thread the buckles between the underside of the gate and the bed, which isn't all too bad until the bag is fully loaded with trash. I needed the help of my buddy holding it up while I jimmied the buckles through. Not the end of the world, but it definitely got me thinking about a possible hack to the system. That was really my only complaint. I can see it being much more efficient on a spare tire where you don't have to remove it the whole trip unless you need the spare.

    Anyways, I'm definitely a fan.

nice! I've used mine twice and pretty much have the same experience as you. It's super handy and I ended up attaching it to a low hanging tree branch on a recent camping trip until it was time to go.

Did you attach it to the gate the same way that I did?
