Has anyone installed a CB radio in their 3rd Gen yet? I have a TRD Offroad looking for a little guidance or advice for mounting and installing a CB radio in the cab, getting it powered, and getting it connected to the antenna i'll be mounting on the hood.

I've installed uniden Pro520XL with a 3' firestick on a bracket attached to the bed rail. I mounted the CB on the passenger side next to the cup holders. I've also seen mounted under the button switches above the QI charger but it blocks the light under there. I have the wires running down the console and passenger chair to the center console 12v supple with wire cable to make it look a little nicer.

Awesome, I was thinking the same type of thing only I have the tonneau cover so I'll be mounting on the hood. Did you need to drill to get the power wires into the console?

They have mounts that run between tail gate and brake lights. No drilling, already a hole in the center console so just pried the side and wiggle the wire through.

That's awesome, I wasn't too crazy about drilling too much in the new truck. About where is the hole? I took a really quick look before work this morning and i didn't see one.

Thanks for the input, I was really close to getting the Cobra 75 off Amazon but I went with the Midland 1001LWX because I wanted to have both weather and PA.

I will be installing mine this weekend. Really wanted to go overhead mount with the radio but I have changed my mind. I Will be mounting my radio on the driver side of the console.

Have you seen these for the 3rd gen? I've been looking around and can't seem to find any!

I originally was going to mount the CB outside the bed through the tail gate but couldn't find anyone that did it since they add the quarter circle cut out that use to be in the 2nd gen. I saw a pic of a 3rd gen mounting it there a few months ago but can't find the pic. It was mounted at the same spot for the 2nd gen but under the tail gate post cover.

I always had issues with the way they format the quick links.

    The antenna mount looks good.

Thanks, I have never had an issue with Photobucket until now. I had to go in and fix the links on every image

Installing a CB is my project for next week since I'm off for Thanksgiving. Question for ya'...how did you get the coax cable into the cabin? I've checked and seen a couple of drain plugs throughout the cabin but I'm not sure if there is a better way. I've just posted the same question to others to see if I get different answers.

I just purchased the same radio but with a 4' Firestik. How did you get the coax cable into the cabin? I've checked and seen a couple of drain plugs throughout the cabin but I'm not sure if there is a better way. I've just posted the same question to others to see if I get different answers.
