    Don't worry about it.

Cheap metal alloys sitting in a bed of coals multiple times for years will do that.

has anyone ever replaced the boots on CV axles before? Mine are worn, not torn yet and am thinking that might be a way to go. I talked with CVJ and they will replace the boots for $60.

Thanks! I'm pretty jealous of the RTT myself.
Yeah, the dogs were crazy. The people that have the private land just to the northeast of the lake had about 10 dogs with them and the sound just travels across the lake so easily.

    Never enough
Had an interesting day today behind the wheel of my taco. Had to drive from my house in Littleton to a job site in Casper Wyoming and back. On the way back I noticed I was getting pretty good gas mileage and decided to see if I could get 400 miles out of a single tank. On my way back south the low fuel light came on at about ~320 miles but my ultragauge said I still had about 5 gallons in the tank. I had been averaging just under 20 mpg up to that point so I thought to myself "challenge accepted!" Anyone familiar with that section of I-25 knows that the towns are small and spaced sporadically. I was gonna have to get really lucky to go over 400 and still have enough gas to get to the next station. As I inched closer to my goal it became apparent that it was gonna come down to the wire in a town called Wheatland. I pulled into the station and snapped these pics.

    Missed it by that much...

Ultragauge showed 1.31 gallons remaining. I knew that couldn't be right despite recently calibrating the MPG feature. Gas pump showed I was WAY closer than I ever should have gotten to empty out in the middle of nowhere. For reference 2nd gens have a 21.1 gallon tank...

TL: DR Tried to make it 400 miles on a single tank during a business trip and came up short. #questfor400 #misseditbythatmuch
