Hey Guys, On Saturday my black 2015 Tacoma was stolen downtown. Using "Find My Iphone" DPD and I tracked the Ipad in the truck to Rocky Mountain Lake Park and arrested the person who had it. Since then the detectives have gotten her to admit to abandoning the truck in that general vicinity. If anyone sees it please contact me or the police. Please do not approach anyone in the vehicle or leaving the vehicle. There is one small sticker on the back passenger mudflap that says "AL-MART" Thank you for your help in looking out. See photos.

Any idea how it was stolen, or how the security system was bypassed?

OK...im puzzled. If the DPD arrested the person who had the vehicle....how come they didnt get the vehicle too? If they arrested her without the vehicle, how did they know she stole it?

Also....just curious....how was it stolen? Were the keys in it? Or did they break in and bypass the security system and start without using a key?

Did she supposedly just abandon it on the street with the keys in it and someone else took it? Seems far fetched to me and that she would know who she turned it over to but just isnt saying and is spinning a tale that she abandoned it.....yeah thats the ticket.

That makes sense that the OP was referring to the ipad was found with the person that stole the truck. Still want to know how it was done and I am a bit floored that someone would steal a $25K item just to get the a f*cking $500 ipad. Hope she does real jail time for committing a felony.

Note that a old curmudgeon like me is still rather skeptical about her version of the story. She's either an idiot or there is more to the story than we currently know.

I'm sure a hot iPad is a heck of a lot easier to unload than a stolen truck. No matter though, I would imagine thefts like this are most often drug related and I'm not sure they have the mental wherewithal to think this one out logically.
