I have 3 in lift in back. Got them to help me tow my trailer. But I got a diesel excursion for towing. I no longer thing I will need them. They work great.

Are you going to replace them with the stock bumps? It has been my understanding that the stockers are not tall enough to prevent shock damage when your suspension is compressed. Can you get a pic of the sumos with a lift so I can get an idea of the distance between the upper landing pad and the top of the bump?

These look really good from the video. If I was gonna try these I'd make sure to talk to somebody who works for super springs and understands the Tacoma application. Like getting the jounce ones if you off road.

They offer two models, one specifically for tacomas and one, harder one in black for tundras. Both would fit the tacoma. The weight capacity is different. They are designed to be used with stock suspension as an option different from airbags. With stock suspension they raise the rear 5/8ths", because they contact the upper bump landing pad constantly. I propose to use the softer ones as progeressive bumpstops for my lifted truck. I'm guessing the durometer of the foam is similar to wheelers superbumps, but I'm not sure at all ... I'm waiting til I hear more firsthand accounts. Calling supersprings HQ is a good idea, I'll try tomorrow.

The video certainly looks great, on their website they sell small front bumps but it doesn't look like they are plug and play for the tacoma. I'm going with superbumps in the front. The tacoma specific ones for the rear seem to be meant for use with the stock suspension. However wheelers sells a ubolt flip kit with a sumospring, which would indicate to me that may be used for this application. I guess what I want to find out is the compressed height and how it compares to the superbumps that you have installed. Also how soft is the foam and how it compares to other options. Do you know the compressed height of the superbumps with the risers that you have installed??

    Did you watch the video?

Do they make jounce model for Tacoma?

From the video, I would think that's what you want for off road. The airbag replacement models are for people who tow.

Please report back after your phone call. I'm very happy with my super bumps, and these sumo would be a nice alternative market option

What I'm hoping of course is that the compressed height allows my shocks to compress, but stop, before they are damaged. Also that perhaps the bump stop action is soft and progressive rather than hard lIke what i hear timbrens are . Who knows, these may not perform as I hope. They may be too tall, or the compressed hieght might be too low. Or the foam could be too stiff, or too soft. I'm hoping that someone who has these installed with a lift will chime in tomorrow.
Also it is odd, but the supersprings website does not have the dimensions of any of their products listed anywhere. They make many many different springs. I left an email a week ago asking about the ones that looked as though they may fit the front and I haven't heard back.

I don't know, and Dan at Wheeler's doesn't know the compressed height of their bumps either. I asked. When measuring my suspension, I assumed the worst was 1/2" compressed vs. 2-3/8" static height.

I can measure for you the height of the risers...

I feel you on your quest here. The devil is going to be in the details with the sumos.

Low Range Off road's post says 80% compression and 4" tall so compressed height should be ~1"

Interesting, around minute 1:55 of the video above shows a version of sumos being used as bumpstops on an offroad vehicle

Yes here is the model specifically for the tacoma, it is a jounce style that is a straight swap for the factory bump, this thread describes the install and it sounds very straightforward.

here is a picture of a sumospring model ssr-610-40 beside a factory bump. This is the tacoma specific one, for trucks without a flip kit. Low range's flip kit uses a smaller sumospring because it is elevated by the flip kit . You can see it has fewer "humps" though I assume it is the same diameter. If low ranges sumo is 4 inches, and each "hump" is an inch then the regular sumo looks to be 6 inches or so. Though they say it can compress 80%, people are hauling heavy loads and towing with sumos and stock springs with very little squatting.
Maybe they are too tall to use as bumpstops on a lifted taco, if they don't readily compress.

    tsp-bs-ssf-kit_-_1.jpg

If the tacoma specific sumo is too tall to use as a bumpstop, maybe this woukd work. This looks like just the upper part of the low range kit, perhaps this could be mounted to the frame above the axle. I see flip kits for 64$, these bumps are 125$, so for sub 200$ you could be flipped and bumped with an install you can do yourself.

Would it be possible to get some pics of your sumo springs with your lifted rear? Anyone else out there have sumos with a lifted rear?

TSB leafs, rear 5100s, front 5100s set on 0" with OME883x coils with Headstrong Offroad driver's side spacer, 1k SumoSprings, ubolts, and hardware.

These sumosprings have stopped my leafs from going flat. they are a little stiff yet but time will tell.

i did gain about 3/8" in the rear so that eliminated the bro lean and i'm back to level

I think that model is meant to replace the front bump stop on the rear.
