I'm glad someone else said this. I've been wondering about that same thing. Can someone explain in reasonable detail the upside of shackle flips?

It's an advanced topic in chassis design. This really isn't the thread for this kind of discussion. However, I'll say that, based on my research, IMO there is no reason to modify your shackles if you're staying spring above axle.

Here is nice thread on the subject: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/newbie-general-4x4-discussion/596669-why-upside-down-shackles.html

I threw these Demello Dominator sliders at my Taco this morning. They miraculously stuck!

This shit happens all the time to me. I think heavy items make it worse, as I have major problems with the one that holds my trailer hitch.

Mine would do that once in a while until I just made sure the phillips head screws on the metal latches were really tight. If they are a bit loose, that will allow enough slop in the latch to vibrate open.

Bend the tabs on the latches outward and they'll latch tighter.

    Cured my issue immediately.

Yeah that must be a really rough part of town to have such a harsh movie like "Pretty Woman" playing on the parking garage TVs.
