My old man and I built an 8 I don't have my pilots license yet. Kind of expensive. But I'm an A&P so I'm around the airport all day. No good photos in my pics sorry, but I don't wanna hijack this thread either. I'll put a pic up later in a message or something.:threadjacked:

Just finished my font fenders. Haven't even posted pics of the drivers side yet. Check out my build.

I don't think my tubbing will be as extreme, more of just the fire wall area. But I'm interested in how you set up the interior if you can give me some info on that...

Jk! Pull out your trim around the floorboard and pull the carpet and insulation back. Make sure to disco your battery and move any wires or components out of the way...especially wires. All harnesses that go through the firewall can be disconnected and pulled out of the way just take lots of pics of how the wires are routed. For the cut I used mostly cut of wheels and a little bit of the old sawza in certain areas. Make sure to protect anything around your cut. I used a combination of heavy leather right behind the area I was cutting, a small piece of 16 ga steel where somethings are real close i.e. Clutch hyd lines, and a welding blanket to keep the Sparks form cutting and welding from melting and lighting things on fire. The location of the cuts and shape of your panel is up to you just look long and hard at the real estate inside the cab. My truck can now comfortably fit 35s with plenty of clearance. Don't forget your tires move up an down and can be turning at the same time. To see where you are close remove your front shock assy and set the truck gently on the bumpstop. Turn the tires left and right to see what rubs. This will ensure you have full tire clearance after you work your fender and also help you to know where you don't need to remove as much material. Give yourself about an inch at the minimum everywhere around the tire, tires wiggle and move and can pick stuff up off-road. This mod was fun and straightforward but definitely a lot of work and time consuming. Take your time to do it right and you won't be dissatisfied.

Oh...I welded some frames out of 16ga square tube that attaches to the stock seat bolts the consul is out of a Tahoe the whole bottom compartment was removed and the back of the consul frame was welded into the trans tunnel. Passenger seatbelt and airbag light are disabled by cutting and terminating the pink wire on the clock pnl harness. Drivers sblt lt and airbag lt are still on but I will disable them soon. I also will run 12 volts to the consul.. It has a cig lighter and 2 USB ports for charging electronics.

245 75 r16. Was tempted to go to 265's, but with the automatic transmission I wanted to try stock size before going up.
