Interesting you use the factory seal and push it under the nut... I don't understand... I could only trim mind around the plug as the nut gets bottomed out against the back of the housing... how did you have 1/4" space around there? Just the shape of the headlight?

Yeah, it must just be the shape of the housing. It was originally about 1/2", but in order for there to be enough threads on the projector to actually lock it down I had to cut it to where there was about 1/4" left. Then with a little persuasion I was able to get the rubber cover to fit behind the nut and seal on the surface that it seals to from the factory. It worked out really well!

I also didn't use the piece of shit alignment ring as I have NEVER had them actually align shit. I just left the nut a little loose and installed on the vehicle. Aimed, aligned the cutoff, and cinched down the nut then JB welded everything in place.

Honestly, this was one of the best looking retrofits I have done. It looked damn near OEM when finished.

    Not enough.
    I had thought that too.

The drain hose and windshield were in my head too but I ruled out the hose (ran the AC and it was draining to the pavement). I thought it was coming from below so I let it sit outing the rain while I was at work today. I figured if it was coming from the tire splash then I'd have no water since I didn't drive it (yay public trans...) and if it did have water on the floorboard then it had to come from somewhere above.

    Looky what I found.

    IMG_2838.jpg
The dark area is where the water starts to come through.

    IMG_2839.jpg

Seems to be leaking from a body seam behind the kick panel. Red arrow points to the problematic area behind those wires. Green arrow points to door for reference. Was thinking about sanding the area down and sealing it OR taking her to a bodyshop so that they can attack the problem from behind the fender.

I did come across a thread that pointed out a cracked seam from inside the engine bay but I'll have to wait for another day off to inspect that area.

Hopefully this is fixed soon. I hate taking the bus!

Time for a late porter and Netflix.

Thanks guys, I used to live right where the tornado hit but now reside in Tillamook. Weather has been windy but nothing too crazy, tomorrow is a different story should be ugly. The mill I work at sent all employees home for the tornado warning EXCEPT ME and the boiler crew. I run the boilers and cannot leave unless I see one physically touch down near me.

Any of you have a white double cab with topper, black fender flares, snorkel, LED light bar. Saw it around Dupont heading south on I5 around 915am

We're getting nailed by the leftovers of a Typhoon that ripped across the Pacific in three days. Tomorrow will be the main event, batten down the hatches and drink rum till you talk like a pirate. That's what they do on the East coast anyhow.

It's still going to be a significant storm no matter where you are in the state. Bend, for instance, will see 40mph winds. That may or may not push over a tree or two. Pendleton saw winds of 78mph just south of town yesterday at 1 am, and the trees in my neighborhood lost some small limbs but are still upright. With rain saturated ground...who knows? Chances are those pine trees have seen far worse storms in their lives. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=44.0582&lon=-121.3153#.WAIstCT525g

Good to hear! I'm due back out there Monday and Tuesday. Hope it'll die down a bit. I can weather the storm but not sure if the school will want me out there due to 'safety' reasons.

So I just got wifey set up in a new 2016 T4R SR5 premium in silver. She pretty much wet herself. She now has more horse power and torque than me. I didn't realize it at first but these things have coils in the rear instead of leaf springs
