I finally got the time to install the Cargo Bed Lights i got form Toyota, not easy as putting gas in the tank but not #10 hard either. I like the results, now the bed under the tonneau cover gets lit up when the interior lights are on, easily worth $60 and two hours of time. Nice added option too!

Can you elaborate on these lights. Wasn't aware Toyota made these. Pics and part number please.

I opted for the bed lights myself. I like them.

If you want it "NOW", go to Toyotas website put in any south-eastern zip code (i use 78239) as yours and look at the accessories. These come on "almost" all the Tacomas out of San Antonio, TX. I will take pics and try to post next week, from the factory they cost $250ish, i got for $70 online. BTW the Toyota factory tour there in San Antonio is worth the time if already visiting! Thanx.

Can anyone give me some info how to wire them off the cargo lamp switch?
I'd rather have the option to turn theM off like the bed cargo lamp

    Thanks I've got that.
What I couldn't figure out if that wiring diagram was to the switch for the cargo lamp or the dome light on d-cabs
It says they will illuminate when the door is open, and then when the cargo lamp is illuminated....for d-cab models

So I'm guessing it's wired to the switch, and if the switch is set to off, they dont come on. And also that acces cab models don't have the cargo lamp switch, so the bed lights are wired to come on every time the doors open

I can't see anyone wiring it to the dome light and having the bed lights come on every time the dome light does, unless thatvwas the only possible option

I believe they mean that if you have the cargo light switch in the middle position that the lights will come on if you open the door. If you have it turned in the off position then they shouldn't turn on when you open the door. Figure(3-9) 1E1 is where you connect the bed lights too, as also shown in figure (3-10). If installed correctly that should be the way it works.
I don't understand why they wouldn't put the same cargo/brake light in the access cab that the double cab gets.

Yeah that's where all my confusion came from with the instructions and diagrams.
I assumed the same, but was just curious if anyone could confirm it, or had another for sure way to wire it to the switch.
Thanks for all your help, I'll roll with it per the instructions

When you are done can you post some pics. Especially if you have a bed extender. I am curious if that blocks the light.

I just got led snake lights(xmas lights) and ran them under the cargo rails. Leave plugged in to outlet and hit the switch whenever i need light.
