    Hey guys,

does anyone know which wire behind the radio is the reverse gear signal wire? I want my screen to automatically go to the camera when I put the truck in reverse. Thanks for any input!

I'm curious as well.. will be installing new Navigation unit soon.

On that note, does anyone know if for most HU's the reverse signal wire is just for a backup camera or does it relate to the GPS as well for vehicle position? My installation guide says "Be sure to connect the reverse signal wire. If it is not connected, the vehicle position may be incorrect when the vehicle is reversed". Will not be adding back-up camera.. just the NAV unit.

According to my 2007 wiring diagram, there is no "Reverse" wire behind the radio. My Eclipse DVD/Nav unit takes the reverse signal from the backup light wire behind the drivers side kickpanel.

Right you are! Thanks for you input. I had found the exact thing I was looking for on another audio/video thread but didn't get a chance to reply with the link.. by the way strengthcoach4, if you do find the link it has a nice picture of where to tap into the backup wire.
