    My OEM ECU is always at ends with my static cam gears. They just don't get along. Lol

    What degree did you set them at? I'm thinking this may be the way I go with my motor, if the VVTi can't keep up..

    Did you use a stock static cam gear in the actuators place?

    Har har har. :p. Clutch is pulled as of last night. :D What normally was a multi-hour process has now turned into a two hour process. Even while being terribly sick. I love this new SnapOn 3/8" impact gun. Just need to invest in some impact sockets.

    Your VVT-I will keep up. Unless you get high lift aftermarket cams. Then you'll have to limit their phase angle movement.

    The one difference between the ProEFI and the Haltech, is that you have to purchase an additional controller to run wideband sensors. Which for the whole of it is a CAN (single sensor/dual sensor) controller, harness and sensor or sensors.

    I already have spare sensors, so I purchased the unterminated harness and the controller independantly.

    The cool thing is, that you can wire the Haltech into the CEL functions. Which would then only be turned on by a feature the Elite is setup for. So I may have a way to keep my factory ecu 'happy' with the control of the static intake cam gears.

    That's pretty sweet you can make you own cel. I haven't dug my head that deep into what standalone I want. Interesting you need another box to read a wideband. Wish they would use that newer 7.9 or whatever it is sensor. Says you need to recalibrate it every so often.

    The LSU 4.9 versus the older 4.2. The newer reads faster and into the hundreths, compared to just tenths.

    @Biscuits , I will get back with you on that.

    Re-installing the clutch. At least one head gasket on old faithful Subi, finally started to let go. At 265k.....Couldn't have been better timing. :goingcrazy:
