    Are you a UWB student?

I'm part of a panel doing a discussion there next Monday evening for their engineering department. Nervous as hell to do it.

Yup. Best parking is if you enter campus and go past the garage to the 4 way stop sign, make a right to go down by the house. Almost always parking there unlike the rest of the parking lots

Excellent. I'll write this down. I'm just going to have fun getting from work in downtown Bellevue to UWB. Hope they don't mind me being fashionably late due to bad traffic.

Yup. Parking is $3/3hours or $6 for all day. There is a parking machine down by the house. Tickets aren't cheap, $40 if you don't pay.

Because I'm a guest of the university, they're paying for my parking.

    Workin' on it....
Don't know of any out in the bush. I drive by that range on Hwy 9 / 531 frequently but have never actually been in it. I don't mind driving south. Any idea on what the weather is supposed to be like this weekend?

I don't know if I'm going to really meet anybody when I'm there. They're more likely going to know who I am though. I'm on a three person panel giving a talk to whoever shows up. The seminar is on the importance of computer programming in ME industry jobs. If he is there, and he's looking for something to do next Monday night and wants to nerd out for a while...

I'm really looking forward to going to the bar afterwards and cashing in on the promise of beers after the talk.

A whole third install is simple. I just did both the front and rear in my FJ40....well full axle rebuilds which involved taking them off and back on (but same concept as installing a new third). Although this is for an elocker itll give you a good idea of what all is involved.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...d-installation-of-e-locker-3rd-member.193828/

But basically its just unhook the brake clips so the drum brakes have line to slide outwards. Undo some bolts holding the drums/axle in. Slide axles out a few inches. Unbolt the third member. Pull third member off. Do some cleaning. Install new third. Slide axle back in. Check to make sure everything works right. Bolt everything back up. Add gear oil.

I havent done the plumbing for an air locker but it is pretty straight forward if you already have the compressor and stuff.

Id potentially be up for saturday if you could do that instead

Just a tip for everyone considering doing a regear... while everything is off do your breather reroute for your diff, tranny and transfer case while everything is taken apart....otherwise you will have a torn up forearm finding and running your breather lines. Breather reroute done, time to go find some deeper water.....:burnrubber:

    Are floor mats a mod?
Was thinking of just doing a tool set to include all the special crap needed to do the diff bearing and wheel bearing spider, then we can just sell it back and forth. I'll let y'all know.

im def only doing rear as this thing will still be a driver and I can only imagine how much of a PITA the front would be.

Any intermediate trail runs coming up? Snoho, Skagit, or further east? Girlfriend is going underway soon and want to get some trips aligned for December and the New year. Camping, or weekend trips. :fingerscrossed:
