So I have a 06 Tacoma I got it with a lift already but I don't know that much about lift so if anybody could tell me what is it that I have on it and can I remove all of it and get the Bilstein 5100adjustable front shock and get same clearance. I have some 285/65/18 tires

It looks like the 6" or 6.5" lift from CST. They also have a 3.5" lift for the 2wd but it doesn't have the CST emblem on the spindle like the other two do. Unless it was different in the past.

If thats the case you would need some stock spindles to start any sort of move to a 5100 setup.

Looks like the spindle was replaced and that's how you got the lift.

Is there a block or anything under the leaf springs in the back?

Lots of stories of AAL's etc going missing here...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/called-toyota-about-leaf-spring-recall.346554/

They forgot to put a nut on the front passenger bushing bolt and installed one of the shackle bolts backwards so it was digging into my shackle hanger lol - some dealerships hire guys that don't know or care about what they're doing unfortunately.

Ok so based on everything you have 3-4 inches up front. That's why with the new leafs in rear, which with a stock front would be 2" high In the back. With the spindle up front only you are 1.5-2" high up front.

Adding Billies will magnify the lift more. If you want to return to normal then locate some stock spindles. Go troll the maxtrac forum, in fact I'll have some stock spindles in my drive tommorow.

You don't have to clip the Bilstiens in a lifted position. They don't have to be the lifting factor always. Coils can lift also.
