Alright the last three months I've been on the B/S thread collecting lift parts for the taco, here's what I have

-Ome front shocks with 4Runner springs (889 I think) they are meant for 3" with no added weight
    -Ome rear shocks
    -All pro expedition pack.
    -toytech top spacer plate 1/2"
    -extended brake lines
    -SPC ucas
    -ubolt kit

My question is, should I buy the trim packer and drive shaft carrier bearing drop kit? And if so am I missing any other parts to complete this lift?

    Thanks

I would suggest a front diff drop if you have a 4wd as well as the carrier bearing spacer, or make one. Might as well do it all at the same time.

Although I know you are trying to cover your bases, the diff drop is not required, and I removed mine shortly after install. And the carrier bearing drop kit is also not required unless you get noise and vibration from your rear driveshaft.

Be aware that you may get a growling/howling from the front diff after lift. It has nothing to do with the diff drop, rather the spider gears in the front diff. The solution is http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-8536125-toyota-8-clamshell-bushing-eliminates-needle-bearing.html

NOTE: It is only required if you hear a sound from the front end after lift, just as the carrier bearing drop is only needed if there is a noise after lift.

Don't install parts you don't need IMHO.

I mean honestly together they are only $40 on toytech. So wouldn't it just be smart to put those on there then if I get any other Problems I know it's not those

    No.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/diff-drop-poll.128298/

Ive been lifted for 60k, no diff drop, no carrier bearing issue. I did in fact drop the bearing with a spacer, and it did nothing, so I removed it. I did have front end vibes, and the ECGS bushing was the cure.

It's your money, so buy parts you don't need if you like.

That doesn't narrow it down too much. On this forum they're all bs threads ;)

Just kidding, you did your homework but as all has been mentioned almost everything I've read has said that the diff drop isn't necessary. Even if you get vibes it doesn't seem that it would be serious enough that you couldn't go a few days while ordering a diff drop kit if it would even help at all in getting rid of them.
