Seriously jealous! I would LOVE a Whaler, but the Mako has been good for the money. I bet your trailer is a bit more robust than mine as well.

Let us know how she feels! I was going to ask if you had a 4x4 in the last post. I do the same thing. The ramp I use most often on trips to NY is notoriously steep and slick. I've seen a handful of full-size 2x4's spin their tires trying to haul out bigger boats. Why you would have a 2x4 in Western NY at all is beyond me.

Thanks! This is my third whaler. I've been SLOWLY working my way up in length. I've been on quiet a few Makos though. They're great boats.

My previous ranger only had like 30 more HP and it pulled my boat fine. I wouldn't pull it to the mountains but I'll take it anywhere east of me.

I'll definitely report back when I pull it to let you know how it did

Well I pulled the boat today and I promised to report back. Truck did awesome. Tide was right so only the trailer went down the ramp. Truck stayed on flat ground and pulled the boat in 2 high no problem. Truck is a 5 speed. I was able to pull up the steep hills leaving the marina in 3rd and maintain 40 mph. Really pleased with how the truck felt the entire time considering its a 2.7.

Mine had the Curt three point hitch and Curt 4 pin plug and play harness. I modified the harness to accept the Pollak 4/7 pin connector that fits in the spot in the bumper.

How hard were the bolts to remove from the frame to install, I could borrow an elect. impact and another set of hands when I do it. E trailer has good installation vids too, im getting the drawtite for $83 w/free ship from Fleabay

Yeah she's all done for the season. Gonna get her winterized here soon before it gets cold. I'm too busy fishing with other people now to worry about my own boat. Tough problem to have right??:D:D:D

    Stock for a minute
When I picked it up they forgot to put oil in the truck from the factory

And then I they towed it back and I picked it up and they then forgot to put the oil cap on and there was oil every where

I told the dealership to take the truck back and I needed a truck in the next day so I ended up going for the TRD Off Road the truck I always wanted and I got an amazing deal on it!
