    I have a few mods
    not working very well, barely any receive and transmit range, it worked amazingly at Citrus...but like 6 months later...it wasnt working very well anymore. I cleaned my mount off, but I dont know if the fenders had anything to do with it or not, but since the mount was metal and bolted to the bedside where the sheet metal was, I figured it was good. But I dont know if the fiberglass bedsides changed anything or the fact that maybe my coax line got pinched a little and isnt working because of it. I had a perfect tune up when Lee messed with it back in Feb, but it needs to get fixed...I spent too much money for it not to be working lol

    Maybe the lack of metal has decreased your ground plane, the signal has to bounce off the body & the fiberglass may be absorbing it. Try moving it behind the cab in the center so it has the roof to bounce off of. If you think of the signal like a circle the roof will reflect 50% of it. I was always told center roof is the best place so I would think right behind the cab would have to be the next best. That's where mine is & I've had no problems, it does hit the back of the cab when it springs back after hitting a branch.

    yaaaaaaaaaaa, but i really like the way my truck looks with where the antenna is haha, I really dont wanna move it. Ill add a ground wire to the frame and see what happens, I also am gonna swap out the coax line for another and run it differently so the tailgate isnt pinching it anymore, we'll see if that fixes the issue

    Start with those ideas & if they don't work you may have to move it, deal with it or maybe try a no ground plane antenna.
    You know now that I think of it (as I typed no ground plan antenna) I remember reading that a no ground antenna was best for like RV's cause they are usually fiberglass.

    yeah well it worked perfectly where its at now back in Feb, so its not the location thats F'ing it up, it has to either be ground or the coax cable got pinched and is broken

    That's most likely the problem, with the glass bedsides & the composite bed there's not enough metal so you probably need a NGP antenna. Look at the links I posted above.

    You can try it, it's free but I don't think it will work. You don't have enough metal for a conventional antenna to work. The Firestik NGP antenna I posted is tunable & comes with everything to hook it up including a NGP coax cable. You need the right cable for it to work, a regular cable won't do.
    I think you're gonna need to either move it behind the cab where there's metal or buy a NGP antenna.

    Call CB World or Right Channel Radios & talk to them, let them know what you're working with.

    Guys, couple questions !

    1. I have aftermarket 17" wheels 4.5 BS- since the front will now come out additional .75", i was thinking to keep the continuity of it all by adding 3/4" spacers to the rear, but I see spidertrax only has 1.25", wondering if that would be too much ?

    2. During install of spindles are people reconnecting swaybar? Pros cons?

    Nah, i think it will look good!!! My rear spacers are either 1.25 or 1.5 - i like the look a lot

    I left mine on since its a street queen. A lot of guys remove them for good for more offroad articulation
