I'm still fucking pissed that this motherfucker has stolen my/our money and hasn't done squat to fix this. So, I'm now making this a personal goal of mine to make @mahaloTaco pay for this shit-show by using any available LEGAL path to get our money back and make sure he will never, ever do anything fraudulent again. And yes, my next step is to get the IRS on his sorry ass.

Good to know. we have our provincial sales tax that functions that way, but also a federal sales tax. Thanks for the lesson!

 

Likely he didn't do this. I'm looking into the legal implications of him NOT doing this.
In this case, we are not liable for any out-of-state sales taxes. We didn't receive any product.

If he's not an officially registered CA retailer/distributor, then his profits may fall into the taxable personal income category, which has income tax implications, which as future Surf Shop CEO, he should know about. But my guess, he doesn't. Let me look into this as well.

 

There's usually a limit on how many sales dollars you can do before HAVING to register. For me I think it's 10k for provincial and 30k for federal (approx). I'm curious to see what you find out for CA both for requirements and "punishment".

 

Put me down as wanting a refund... He has a week to respond or its IC3 time. Also, Malibu isn't far from me...
