Did the noise start after you put your new grill in?

 

Side mirrors? If my front end is making any noise, it would be drowned out by the Dumbo sized side mirrors bashing their way through the wind.

 

The first pic is after the armour coat flat black, and sanded for prep for the enamel paint. Second shot is all finished and mounted, will try to grab some nicer shots tomorrow

Not that I noticed. Think I noticed it after painting the radiator... I think.

Naw, don't think it's that. Sounds like it's coming from the front end of the truck.

 

I had some noise company no from my side mirrors that I fixed with "Sugru." If you look at the mirrors from below you will see the large bolt hole where the mirror housing articulates on the mount. I made a quick batch and stuffed it in smooth on both and that noise went away.

 

Since you didn't notice the noise until after relocating your horns, maybe it's the way you have them positioned in their new location. Possibly air moving across the bell of the horn is making the noise?
Can you rotate them in the new spot or cover them. Just a thought

 

They're by the battery... Wouldn't think that place would get air like that to make it noisy.

What size piece of angle iron did you use for this?

 

I used 36" length and 1.5"x1.5". I got the idea from a thread where the guy used 2x2 which gives you alottle more room, but the hardware store didnt have that.

Truck as I bought it in March 2016 Added OME suspension, JBL Upper Control arms, Softopper, and I just put the 33" (255x75x16) tires on and noticed my MPG took a major dive. Read a bit and learned that my speedo and therefore my odometer are both slow. I read about Hypertech In-Line Speedometer calibrator and how expensive it is. but what I'm really wandering is, is my truck shifting at an inappropriate times because the speedo is reading incorrect?

 

Could it be more related with your grill swap? More air than the stock one

If i'm not wrong you painted the rad right after the grill because you were seeing the rad too much. So can be related.

Off course I used paint that don't wistle and relocated my horn. May be your horn
