    Installed some Bright Source LED headlight bulbs a few days ago........ DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They look bright from the outside but they cast a very crappy light pattern and do not light up the road. I was so unimpressed with them that they have already gone back to the store and didn't even bother taking a picture. On the upside I did how ever install a set of 265/70R17's Michelin LTX AT2 10 plys the other day.

    Go with the Philips, pricey but less expensive than retros

    Thanks for the replies, trying to consider my options in case I need to get a heavier leaf pack soon.

    Installed my front 5100's with Toytec/Eibach 1.6" coils and removed the sway bar. Need to get an alignment tomorrow though I don't think it's too off. Also pulled and anti siezed the alignment cams and bolts. Surprisingly the front cams came out easy even though they were a little rusty. I think the fact I had the fore thought to keep hitting them PB Blaster last summer really helped.

    All in all a good 3.5 hours spent on the Tacoma. Tomorrow night I'll do the Toytec/Deaver 1.5" single AAL as I have a bit of a bro lean due to the sag from my Snugtop canopy.

    The @ImMrYo mirror riser is hands down the best mod I've ever done to my truck. This is a "must have" for 2nd gen Tacoma trucks.

    Love mine too. There aren't a lot of mods that come in handy literally every time I drive the truck, especially at that price point and difficulty. We need a thread to vote on "Mod of the year" along with the Build thread of the year thread

    I know how you feel. There are some tight curves on the road into town from where I live and the mirror would totally block my view of what might be coming around some of the curves before. With a lot of wide farm equipment on the roads here, there were some scares and close calls with a combine or some such before!

    At my height, the mirror would be directly in my line of sight for things coming across from the right like deer on the shoulder of the road or on some curves. I got tired of ducking down to look under the mirror to be absolutely sure I wasn't missing anything in traffic or on the curves...the $40 and 5 minutes it took to do is worth it to me just for the peace of mind.

    @TheNatural. I'm 5' 10".
    @Skrain. How tall are you that it poses a problem?

    I've had my truck for over a year & yet have any problems w/ mirror placement
