CPS failure has only been on like 3 different people. I would hardly say that is common. Once again I would contribute that to more people (on this site) that complain now than before.

1 or 2 anomalies in a model year doesn't compare to the 2016 15+ reported CPS failures that sent owners into limp modes in less ideal conditions. Hell, two happened on one day in August. The problem was so apparent, CPS's at some dealers were back-ordered for nearly month which meant it was a common problem that more people didn't report.

Brian, dammit! I take offense to this. I, Sir, am a truck expert lounging on my California King. So there.

How many 3rd gens have been built 250,000-300,000? Even if we had 2500 people complain on this site its still only 1% of all tacomas...

You're arguing about an inanimate object on an Internet forum.

    How's that for perspective?

You ignored me because you didn't like me proving you wrong, ignorance and assuming seems to be high amongst newbs such as yourself. But keep running your mouth. Your only posts/contributions to this forum are defending the 3rd gen.

obviuosly you two had bad experices with your 3rd gens. There isnt any convincing you two otherwise. Which is fine. But lets keep it in perspective. There are more than 10x the amount of people on this site that there were with the 2nd gen. A lot more people to find some issues. It's a GUARANTEE the gen 1 and 2 had just as bad of issues, just no internet around to complain.

There were more than 15 because I was the one keeping track of it and lost count when the number soared past 15. Some people reported the same failure in the same threads that an OP created. Others created new threads for the failure. It's hard to keep up when so many failures are happening.

I wouldn't waste your time, I ignored ZachMX long ago for good reason, he's convinced of his own bias and argues for the sake or arguing.

It doesn't change the fact that out of 250,000 or so Tacomas that have been built just because 15 people post online about their problems doesnt mean its systemic.

Or I actually provide facts and evidence you just defend your 3rd gen. Again when you have something to actually contribute here of substance feel free to give advice/run your mouth.

Maybe more connection related. You didn't have easy access to Cable and FiOS. Best connections back then for a decent price were dialup and DSL.

But common sense tells us, that in general, people aired out their dirty laundry less. How many people logged in while at work 10 years ago? A lot less.
