I know there has been plenty of talk on forums about bed extenders but I cant seem to find the answer I need. Someone locally is selling an extender from a nissan frontier and I can get it for $80. My problem is they have no brackets because they traded the truck in and forgot to remove them. I want to buy it but I dont know if I can just buy toyota brackets for my 2016 or if the only brackets that will work are for a nissan. pics show what it looks like including the ends where the pivot is. Can anyone give me input before I drive to this person to get it?

Do you know what brand it is? Maybe the brackets are universal and you can just get a set. Probably bolts to the rail in the bed

I just wrote to seller to ask for brand but I think she said it came with her truck when new. I cant seem to find the track brackets for it and my tonneau cover is attached right where that would go so that dont work. I have no way to find out if the pivot on her extender fits toyota brackets.

I'd say go look at it and offer half the price since it's missing a vital part and see if you can build some brackets that would work.

lol. that is as low as I can get the seller down. She wanted 150 and I told her I have no idea where I could get brackets to fit. Yes ebay if I knew which ones but got her down to 80. dont want to buy a bunch of different brackets to test with.

Flash a 50 in her face and if she says no, leave your number and walk. She will call back

This may or may not help. Could not find who makes it.

yeah Ive seen plenty of them on here but doesnt tell me what hardware I need for one that came out of a frontier. Seller is going to check in am for a brand. the pivot point looks the same as toyota ones so Im hoping it works. Brackets are about $18 on ebay.

I have the older style that's not angled and when flipping the bed extender back in it would hit the tonneau cover side rails. So I collapsed the tonneau cover a half inch on both sides and shimmed out the mounting brackets.

found out today that it is an AMP Research Bed Extender so guess I am good to go. should fit with no problems. Already ordered the brackets.
Thanks for all the input above.
