What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Finally got my hands on a trd pro grill

Added a Power Switch to my Hard Wired Dash Cam. The lightening Bolt lights up when Power is ON. It's Off when Power is OFF. The "POWER" Label lights up when dash lights are on. I was able to tap into the illumination wire for the Cargo Lights even though I don't have them or the Switch on my TACO. The Wire connector for the Cargo Light Switch is behind the switch panel and the illumination wire is active.

I'm now wondering if all I have to do is get a new Switch Panel and Cargo Light switch, and of course the Cab mounted Tail & Cargo Light fixture to retrofit Cargo lights on my Truck? Anybody attempt this mod yet? If co, what are the Part Numbers I'd need? TIA!

Have not planned on making the sliders air tanks. I am going to mount a 2 gallon tank under the cab in front of the fuel tank for on board air.

 

Thanks, that's great! This talks about adding the switch for a bed set of LED lights. I've got a set of those I may use if my plan to install the OEM Cargo lights ( which I believe - correct me if I'm wrong ) are on either side of the Cab-mounted Brake Light doesn't work out.

 

dumb question time -- I can't seem to find a good install guide for the ditch lights. anyone got a good guide for it?

 

What are you having trouble with?

 

Just trying to see if anyone has a nice write up about it/where to go through my firewall/what to tap into. It's not mission critical, I can make one sometime soon.

 

I just cut the firewall with a knife to make it wide enough to fit the wires/connectors through so I could grab them with my fingers. Then I placed switches on the drivers side where that cubby is.

Yeah, that's the plan. Right now the only thing I'm waiting on is that neat Switch-pro plate from SDHQ to come out with a price, because I might end up going that route instead. I'm just trying to get it all wired out on paper first.

Hella Supertones. I had some on my subaru that I wired into a relay, then into the main horn wires.

 

Correct. Except 1 pair of Supertone, and 1 set of Sharptones
