To start out, I'm new to TW, great to meet yall and thanks for any help.

I'll be getting a 17 OR DCSB after the beginning of the year, to avoid some prop taxes. It will be my driver and get some around the farm use, but for any heavy stuff we have plenty of half to one tons for those jobs. It won't get any extreme off road use, but will be crawling through plenty of road ditches in and out of fields.

I really like the look of the RC 4in lift kit. Would love to hear others experience with the lift, its ride quality, if they would do it again, and what size tires they were able to fit. RC's recommendation is 32 by 10.5 I think.

If there's another thread that already discusses this in depth, please post, I couldn't find it.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    ^Sarcasm.

They call it "Rough" Country for a reason. Look around here, in the 3rd Gen section and the suspension section: https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/suspension.18/

You'll find all the info you need. Do some research for several weeks before dropping the dough on a lift. We all have very specific needs for lifting our trucks so find what suits your needs best. My DCSB sees some limited farm use, though we have full size trucks and tractors for big jobs. I have Bilstein 5100 front & back with a Deaver AAL and OME coils. Contact Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road . She can set you up with exactly what you need for a competitive price.

Oh, and welcome to TW! Ignore the snark, or partake with wreckless abandon. 95% of active members are pretty laid back.

Rough country is probably the worst choice of suspension lift in the entire Tacoma market, and you shouldn't buy a lift because "you really like the look of it". A lift is inherently a performance piece, whether you bought it to make the truck look cooler or for off-road racing. 100% of the time A suspension lift GREATLY effects the performance of you vehicle at a technical level, and will necessitate a series of other performance-category parts to even "make it work": Upper control arms, shocks, coils, brake lines, rear leafs, various bushings, u-bolts, in worst case scenarios body modification, installation, alignment, etc.. the list goes on. These are things you really, REALLY, have to take a pro-active role in learning about before you mod your extremely expensive truck. If you don't, you will seriously damage your vehicle at worst, and at best you will be in a very $$$expensive loop of trips to Performance-truck shops to pay builders to fix and re-fix mistakes in a seemingly never ending cycle. Also some of these actions may void parts of your warranty.

Long story short, if youre lifting the truck "for the look of it", don't do it. full stop.
