Katzkin aftermarket leather

I am putting in Katzkin aftermarket leather. Has anyone done this and done their door panels and arm rest? Looking for people that tried or completed leather/vinyl on their door panels and arm rest?

Hey dude, thanks for those. I am looking for people that have specifically done the doors and centre console in a 3rd gen...

 

I had the katzkin installed on my 17', door panels and covered that orange looking stuff on the dash.
Looks great!

 

This. I'm interested in seeing a pic or two as well. I'm going to do the seats but I would like to do the door panels and armrest as well.

Thank you for those pictures... So you have the rubber door panel and centre console lid done? It's actually really hard to tell in the pics.

 

I know this is an older post but I am most likely about to purchase my first Tacoma and was looking at some sort of replacement, cover, or paint to cover the cement grey that is on the door and dash panels. It is a 2017 and I was just wondering how you went about modifying your panels. The lady at Katzkin told me that they do not offer the door panel replacements, only the seat covers.

 

You can’t get door panels but you can get extra vinyl or leather in the same color. I did my own seats but I paid and auto upholstery shop to do the dash and door panels.

 

When you say "the lady" at Katzkin told you that are you saying you called the Katzkin factory in Southern California or are you saying you called a shop who is authorized to sell Katzkin products?

If you called the Katzkin factory I'd be surprised you were told that unless there was misunderstanding and "the lady" thought you were asking for pre-cut & custom sized to your truck door & dash inserts as Katzkin does not offer that BUT they do offer by the yard extra material for sale.

The wait is killing me!!! How long did it take you guys to get your covers? I saw a few pages back that it’s about 2 weeks. Is that still a good estimate?

 

I bought mine through a third party with custom stitching and got mine 14 days after i ordered.

 

Katzkin like many businesses is doing record amount of sales right now, in fact they removed the install center from their SoCal factory so that they could expand the production area.

Don't forget your wait is all dependent on when the order is actually received by Katzkin, just because you placed an order with a Katzkin distributor doesn't mean the distributor placed your order that very same day.

 

I painted my door panel inserts with SEM Color Coat. Custom matched the color and a dealer for that brand can put into aerosol cans.

 

I just found a cover on Amazon to match the center, kept the door panels stock (for now). Been eyeing that edge trim stuff.

 

I want to do this upgrade on my truck but not sure if I should go with katzkin or PRP seat covers
