yeah clunks are never a good sound. only advice i have is to crawl under the truck and start pushing and pulling on things to see if there is excess movement. could be simple as a u-joint needs grease.

its not so much a clunk noise as a clunky sloppy steering feeling over certain washboard terrain. It shouldn't feel loose and sloppy with the occasional clunky vibey feel in your arm..

I've got the same thing on mine (and have had it for about a year now) so I'll have to check out those links posted above.

@bski22 nope, Just threw on some of the OME Bushings and installed. I do however make sure that I spray out the leafs as best as I can every time I wash her though. Soo about x2-3 times a week they get blasted with a pressure washer (winter months). I also make sure just about every chassy and suspension component is well lubricated and greased. I spray the leafs down with down with a nice coat of dry lube about once every x10 days or so. Grease would collect to much grime from the road.. And No, I haven't noticed any squeaks from the packs. I did however just increase my Ride Rites from 10 to 20 psi and the truck seems to like it much better. Specially going over those bigger bumps on the way to work.

Yeah.. in the last 45 days I've bought everything on this truck... I seriously would have shelled out the few extra bills to make that happen. Had I known I had her support to do it.. but nooooo... she said to go with the mid travel.. lol

Dude I have got to say I think you are making the right choice with the MT... are you going to build a prerunner? then LT if your building RC then SAS... But if you are swimming with 90% of the tide here you are EAF and mid travel is the move.

    Just my view

Naa, you're right.. don't get me wrong. I am very happy with my truck. No regrets. I don't want to sound like I don't appreciate it. After all I couldnt have done any of this without her go ahead. Guess it just means I can build more towards armor now.

Are those the CVs with the high angle boots on it that you mention in the OP? I need to do my CVs and was just gonna go Chinese ones from O'Rielly Auto Parts (lifetime warranty). But I had never heard of CVJ or those high angle boots. I'm only at 2.0" lift but I'm intrigued. Can you tell me a little bit more about that setup?
