Yorky compressor pump is the belt driven one i think. It's an old AC unit that you can adapt. From older fords and maybe dodge?

I'll drink to that. I'd also drink against that. Hell, I'd just drink regardless.

I would say do your loop counter clockwise. Highway 101 down the coast is just a two laner with pullouts, and all of the cool stuff is on the Southbound lane. The Sea Lion caves are worth a stop, as are Cape Perpetua, Devil's Churn, etc. Most are a quick half our pit stop, maybe an hour if you are chasing stuff around in tide pools.

Lots of cool stuff in Central Oregon as well, Ice Caves, High Desert Museum, Tumallo Falls, the mouth of the Metolius river (pukes out of the side of a mountain, fish hatchery nearby and you can feed monster trout), etc. I would skip Multnomah falls. It's just a pullout on the freeway full of bums, trash, and hundreds of people. There are many far cooler falls to see, time would be better spent in the woods imo. Also, depending on the time in the summer a snowboard might be better than the mt bike...snow sticks around on Hood till August easy.

I picked a brilliant time of year to put up a pole barn. At least the ground is nice and frozen this week. Last week was miserable in the muck and mud.

Well, looks like ball joint replacement time. 18,000 miles is far less than I would have expected. For that kind of lifespan, I should have went with uniballs......:(

Both sides have this much movement and noise coming from them. Also, both Nitrocharger shocks have a huge amount of rubbing from the plastic dust boot, probably because the ball joints are allowing too much deflection.

Skip Multnomah falls and do Silver Falls. To implement this, use Santiam Pass to make your way east. I consider it to also be a more scenic route with the Detroit dam and nice mountains. You also get to go through Sisters, which is pretty much a tourist trap but for some reason is a Mecca for wives (I think it has to do with crafts and quilting?) I don't know, I don't have a wife to explain it.
Your off-road destination is Tillamook State Forest. Consider planning an event with locals, it can be hard to navigate and pick trails.

Make sure you have proper permits and gear

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.

Similarly, I'm SO glad I waited until Monday to pressure watch the slippery Oregon mildew off of my deck and clean out the ice laden leaves from my gutters. Brrrrr

That was some good planning right there.
