Ya, reason I ask is I've got a pop in the front end. Thought it may have been coming from there but I'm thinking it may be cv's binding. It happens when I start up hill at an angle

Don't think so. I use no noticeable amount of oil in between oil changes.

Appears to be coming from the tube that connects the drivers side valve cover to the intake just before the throttle body. :notsure:

Yeah I also used a buzz box and stick welded it. But I did have one of my kids sit by the switch to turn on and off the welder if the rod got stuck :p

It's all messed up now. I got a new OE radiator cap the other day as PM and the stupid yellow and black sticker is crooked. Don't know what to do.

Last night put in new rear axle seals, wheel cylinders, and wheel bearings and deglazed my drums and shoes. Really hoping I didn't mess up installing the drivers side seal tapping it in with a socket and hammer

Also spinning the rear wheels still doesn't feel very smooth has that kindof rumbly feel while spinning the drum with the truck jacked up. Are there bearings in the rear diff that can typically fail around same time as wheel bearings?

And not sure how much slop there is supposed to be in the diff, when spinning the drums, then stop and start again a few times I get an occasional bang/clunk that sounds like it's coming from the diff or transferred into one of the wheels. Kind of hard to explain. I'm also going to grease the hell out of the slip yoke haven't done that for a while

Maybe I'm just paranoid about the axle clunking, looking forward to taking it out of the garage for a test drive to see if it still clunks/bangs like it did before changing wheel bearings

I'm not sure why they just don't send them welded lol. Took us forever to weld the little tabs on to the plates then bring off the old ones.

i picked this up too. hell of a deal for 80 dollhairs!! but damnit it was a little less cool when i discovered the rear speakers are the same 61/2 round like the fronts..so i have some spare 6x9s laying around lol. still a hell of a deal with the blutooth. the guy at satan's warehouse (walmart) was cracking me up. He stressed to me atleast a half dozen times there was no cd player. I told him I still had the cd in it that was in the cd player when I bought the truck a half decade ago lmao, but I did appreciate his unbridled concern:D

I replaced the little speakers in the back with the ones that came with the radio, pretty big difference. I need to put some foam or something around them so they don't rattle as bad though.

    I feel your pain, Brosef.

I got a TRD oil cap (adds at least 5 HP) and the TRD metal sticker is crooked.

Might as well take a blow torch to my engine.

Anyone have a spare drivers rear fender flare for an '03 laying around they want to sell? Ice + KM2's + cheese grater guard rail at the edge of pavement equals suckage.

I give tons of credit to the armor, it saved both the front flare and doors, and far worse damage to the bed.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Nothing like a new muffler to spice things up. Cheap repair and fun improvement all in one.
