Installed the Baja Designs Squadron Sport LED lights into the fogs today.

Whatever you do, do not take the wheel liners/shrouds apart, what a pain in the butt. We gave up after 45 mins of trying to get one of them out or shifted so we could at least access the fog lights. I think we took all the connectors/pins/screws/mud flaps/etc off and it still wouldn't come out or bend out of the way so we could access the fog lights. What we decided to do instead was to go in through the engine compartment. Unplug the fogs from the wiring, remove the single bolt holding the fog log assembly in place and wiggle it out and up through the tight engine compartment. Verify the positive and negative wiring on the factory harness, build the new wiring from Baja so it matches the positive/grounds, Pop in the baja lights, attach the screw and voila. All said once we switched tactics it was literally 15-20mins to do both lights. I may need to adjust them slightly for use on the roads. Took them for a drive tonight and had nobody flash me because they were on, they are bright though. just not blinding bright like some LED lights. Exactly what I wanted.

    IMG_7071.jpg

Also installed the Hondo Garage radio knobs onto my stereo, I prefer to use the volume on the head unit then the steering wheel controls. Talk about a huge difference. And yes the knobs do fit the Canadian stereos.

    IMG_7066.jpg

Next up is the ARB compressor in the engine bay. Need to figure out a mounting solution to make it work and fit with the traction control devices on the TRD sports. Think I found what i need to do the install, though, just whether I buy a mount or build one myself. Oh does anyone know which switch blank the ARB switch will fit in. I haven't had a chance to bring the switch out to take a look.

    Thanks

    Steve

Had the dealer replace my prem/tech package temp control knob assembly. It was difficult to spin the passenger side from day one. Too nice of a truck to have warranty-worthy quirks like that.

$870 in parts, plus labor. If you have the same problem, do it while you have a warranty!

Like those mirrors, are they just stick ons or complete replacement mirrors?

Full replacements from RAV4. But there is a problem...half of the small convex mirror is useless since it picks the side of the bezel and can not see anything. Anyway, I guess is better compared to the stick-on ones since they will pick the Sun as well and will blind you.

Good to know, I'll have to look into this, or find myself decent stick on one. One thing I dislike about the tacoma mirrors, they are tiny.

Pretty new here and have become addicted to this thread and this forum. I had no idea of the level of customization available for the Tacoma when I bought it, just thought I was buying a great truck. Enjoy seeing what everyone is up to and have started my list! Here is what I have so far.....

Cali Raised LED Bar with Apex Fabworks Stealth Mount. Got this from the group buy. Really impressed with the service and support from Chris at Apex! The light bar is incredible!

Will that light bar void a warranty or decrease trade value after a lease? If not how easy is it to install?

Install was easy. The worst part was the limited access to mount the bar to the brackets. Took me about 3 hours to mount and another hour to run the harness. Will not effect the warranty. You do need to cut away a small section on the plastic baffles on each side of the radiator. I read that some people just leave them out to keep them intact if they trade it in. I plan to keep mine and if I ever wanted to remove the light, I would just buy new baffles. They could not be too expensive.

    The light output is incredible.

Picked up some BFG KO2's, then went right out and played in the snow. Also picked up a portable air compressor and a few other goodies.

Very happy with it. I was torn between the revolver and the tri-fold. Glad I opted for the Revolver. Install was super easy, it is very low profile and has a great look. Access to the bed is a breeze. It seals up very well. Minimal water enters the bed even after a heavy rain on the freeway.

TSB transmission update, runs like a beauty. No more high gear hesitation. I highly recommend taking yours in if you feel gear upshift hesitation.

This is a bit crazy, but I literally recieved both the Hondo Garage radio knobs and the Baja Designs amber fog lights to install on my BBP taco yesterday, the same day you posted this. Nice

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
15k service today, and that REV1 transmission"update". Hopefully I won't be stuck at the stealership to long for it. I can think of better things to do on my snow filled Saturday!

I just got mine put on yesterday and have posted a pic in 2 other threads already. I'm excited about it ok? Haha. But I saw you mention it and you have a QS, so I thought you might want to see how mine turned out. Love the look.
