Ugh only minutes into trying to install extended brake lines and it's already turning into a nightmare. The lower connector nut is seized and it's getting rounded from the flange wrench I just bought for this very purpose.:frusty::annoyed:

Looks like I won't get very far on my to do list today...

Who's brake lines did you go with? I got some some all pro, I'm hoping they are easier than others I've been reading up on.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
Well if it's already rounded you may as well clamp some vise grips on it and call it a day :notsure:

I have the all pros too, but they aren't my problem right now...

I suppose I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had issue with this. I'm currently trying to lookup the hardline so I can just detach it from the caliper along with the flexible hose, but I can't find it in any online parts sites.

But then I have to put it back on with the same shitty nut...

Did you soak the crap out of the fittings overnight with a penetrant?
Also, just call the local Toyota dealer for the part and see what they come up with. It's only your brakes. Don't fuck around.

Not overnight. Yeah, or maybe worst case I can find a local brake shop that could just make a new one for me. I just drove all the way down to Santa Cruz to do this but now it seems like a wasted trip.

Considering every highway in and out of Tahoe had an avalanche last night...doesn't seem out of the question.

if we get a hard layer of ice in there that trend will continue.

I hope conditions are better next Sat when I head to South Lake.

Vise grips! I bought Wheeler's ext brake lines for the Tundra upgrade and a rear ext brake line since 1st gens only have one. It was siezed and I got those vise grips on there and it loosened it right up! I also had the truck on a vehicle lift at my college auto shop but hey! I see @Gply mentioned vise grips. Carry on! GL!
