It Begins: (Images are missing for some reason) Need to re-upload them.

    Before the Build:

1/7/2017 She received a major upgrade for her 4th birthday. I realized the day after I had picked her up 4 years ago to the day when we did the major update. Did not even realize it had been 4 years until Sunday and just shy of 40k miles.

    1/9/2017

    1/7/2017 Install Day:

Big Thanks to my Brother for helping out on a Saturday. It also helps that he works as a Mechanic during the week and has access to the shop.

Installing King 2.5 Extended Travel Front Coils and TC UCA:

Before we gut the Stock OR Front. Forgot to take measurements beforehand visually huge difference.

    Brother Wrenching way

    1B43EAF6-6320-4F3A-8427-71772D46F266.jpg

Almost seems sad that this was my setup compared to the Kings
    F7939C1A-CE93-4F84-B13E-F1C6110A270B.jpg

Total Chaos UCA's all ready to be installed. Make sure you clean out the threads for the fittings. Most were okay but one would not take the fitting.

Already looking better with just the UCA installed

Having a spring compressor at the shop made this much easier to adjust. We went with 1" of thread showing based on countless thread chasing to get a pre-spec.

Time to put the front back together

    What a sight of beauty!
    1D48A07A-0C1A-46BC-89DA-963DD8925ACE.jpg

    Installing the Rear:

Forgot to snap photos of most of the install but using a press at the shop made correcting the bad bushing alignment in the Dakar and rear bushings a piece of cake. Paired the Dakar with a U-Bolt Flip Kit w/ Sumo Bumps and King 2.5 w/ Adj

Along with the setup we added the usual items to help with vibrations and such.

Low Range Off Road Diff Drop

    OME Driveshaft Spacer

    Low Range OffRoad E-Locker Guard

Inexpensive mod to protect a pricy item on the truck. Forgot to take a closeup of the guard but we had to grind a few corners down in order to fit. They only make a Gen 1 guard and not a Gen 2 but a few corners adjusted it fit perfectly.

    Wheels and Tires

    Cab Mount Chop
with the tire upgrade this was going to happen either way. While we had it up on the rack, Brother busted out the shop grinder and Welder and quickly got these taken care of.

In a perfect world we would done this with a better method but a grinder was all we had.

Turned out pretty good with my Brothers skills. Very clean.

My Brother did not like the Weld job due to the welder we had but in the end it does the job.

    02C618C3-9FF5-4251-A921-ACC545F5BE81.jpg

Did not have any flat black paint but blasted it with some semi-gloss Rustoleum for now. Will go back and blast it with a flat black later on.

    46EA7B87-778F-40E7-A7C4-9D7DC4CC1FD0.jpg

Pretty straight forward. Picked them up from @SCSPerformance and had the tires mounted down the street at @4wheelparts

Went back and forth on different sizing options and knew I had to go big. 285/70/17 was the winner. Bigger would have been great but this is a good start with minor mods to fit. We ended up removing front mud flaps Fr/Rear. I will need to trip the lower front fender as it does rub under load when turning but general driving is okay for now.

    883156EA-B42F-412D-BE94-46FD014A9C3A.jpg

Niece showing off the finished product (and for size height reference)

Was not able to get it aligned but Brother did a quick and dirty alignment adjusting camber and Toe. Castor visually seems ok. Years of experience and a tape measure, not too bad I would say.

Can't wait to get to some more goodies. Prinsu Rack, Grill and Sliders are probably at the top of the list right now.

Sits slightly higher in the front. The truck does have a set of tires in the back, the old suspension and some other items in the box up top. Leaning towards adding the OME Dx29L to give it the extra lift and higher spring rate. Eventually I will add bumper and prissy rack. I like the setting in the front now. Did not have time to adjust it lower after we rolled it out. It was close as it depends on where its parked.

Raining like crazy here in NorCal. Those @SCSPerformance wheels looks so bad ass. They also double as rain catchers for survival out in the back country.

Looking good! I'm liking the look of those Ray10s. Now I know what they will look like on my truck. :p I use to work near Bridgepoint at the techpark too, I'm in San Bruno now.

Nice! I live in San Mateo but also work in San Bruno. The work shots were off Grundy down the street from Cherry.

Oh, I think I've seen your truck in the parking lot before. I work on Cherry as well near the Walmart building. I don't drive my truck that often to work but it would be great to meet up on a day that I do.

Yah it was a super time saver. Def different than being crammed in the driveway. Also it was storming pretty bad so we were indoors, thank god.

Your truck dwarfs over my mall crawler!! looks good though. I seen that Tacoma at Walmart across from us. He has cab rack but not sure if it's a Prinsu.

BTW i hope you greased your ujoints while it was up on the rack. It's not like it would matter now though you should be able to crawl under your truck with ease.

55k on mine and it took 7-9 pumps until all 4 seals started to purge old grease. It was the first time doing it on the truck. The dealer wouldn't check that.

Maybe I'll check it later. Your truck is a few years older as well.

Very nice build. I'm liking those rims. I've really been wanting some Method NVs, but those Ray 10s are another 4lbs lighter...might go with the rays.

Do it. Save he weight in tires if it's a big deal. I had no ideas which wheels until I saw the Ray10s in brushed copper (decided bronze was a better choice) but for the lol and price it was a no brainer.
