Dad said he couldn't have done it without an awesome camera :D It's the first time he's used the little runner dude setting to take fast pics. It sure did work

I would've expected more in the $100k range. Since the base truck itself is now pushing $40k. And the decent build cost in the LT thread puts you at $10k in parts for a basic setup.

And the cage does look goofy, it seems if you were doing that much, you would go ahead and put some side impact protection. 90mph sideways on trails is asking for a tree to split it down the middle. I'm sure theres stuff inside, but they already have the crazy exo going on..

Who wants to do a timeshare on a badass built truck? haha

Everybody be wanting long travel first gens now haha. :spy:

That's the only thing I don't like about it too is the cage. Doesn't look right on an LT truck. I remember seeing the original post from the company that built it and everyone was WTFing at it but they said that's what the owner wanted.

I forgot to post his 4 failed attempts to even get on top of it.
The only way he would have owned bragging rights is if he would have jumped it first.

He was going to back down when he got on top, but we told him that he better go forward or face the pitchforks. :duel:

I thought he was still going to back down. :der:

I was able to put them into my dakars without needing longer centering pins. My u bolts are longer than stock though because I did a flip kit. The AAL is about 1/2" or 5/8" thick I'd say.

Don't know what I was thinking when I said that last night... was delirious from traveling halfway across the country twice yesterday running on little sleep. The AAL is the same thickness as the non-overload springs in the Dakar pack. @aero3685 sorry for the misinformation!

I just did this last weekend. Granted I'm first gen, I had to get longer center pins and u bolts. You can do the install without removing the springs pretty easily.
