    My dealer did not even know about the change --that is till I told them about it!! Then I asked them to try to get changed to the darker ones on my order-- we will see if it happens!?

    Do not trust Toyota's website to be accurate on the "build" part! Whoever they have in charge of the of the web content on this site --needs to be fired or else they (Toyota) is paying them to LIE. Last month I tried to build a SR5 4X4 AT AC with only Tow package!! The STUPID website would only let me put Tow on the truck if I added a bunch of CRAP I did not want.
    THEY TRY TO FORCE THE BUYERS INTO CRAP THEY DON'T want!

    YES YOU CAN !! My SR5 is coming in with JUST the Tow package --Dealers can do this any time. It's just that Toyota wants to dupe the general public (like YOU) into thinking that you can't!!!

    The tow package has a individual line item number in the dealer order form as does many other items including the dark or light silver alloys!

    More than that -- check it out!! I did -- this package is usually (from most manufacturers) one of the "best-bang-for-your-buck one can buy! You are right on the brake control

    The tow package has all kinds of coolers and crap for the tranny, coolant, etc. I doubt it would be dealer installed.

    It sounds like a good value for the price. If I wasn't getting the 2.7 I would get the tow package as well just for the bigger alternator and extra cooling.
