Probably not the right place to ask but I don not see to correct place. How do I stop getting e-mails on every post reply? I have checked the boxes I think but still keep getting them. Thanks

If you go to the little "you" in the top right hand corner it brings up a drop down, click alerts, then click preferences on the left hand side and itll bring up a box with check marks.

I got the cheapest one on Amazon lol

I had a real fancy one for a minute and it kept shorting out on me, if this one doesn't suit my needs I'll upgrade it later.

Also, I've gone though like 7 antennas, so keep that in mind when buying one!

Where are you planning on mounting it?

I plan on mounting it drivers side hood using THIS hood mount I bought from a TW.com member.
I also want a quick disconnect so I can disconnect the whip quickly when not needed.

Duncan has a quick disconnect, I believe he showed you, but I'm not sure.

I got Ben to pick me up a spring for mine, hopefully it'll help me stop destroying antennas.

I'm not sure a disconnect would be worth it for me, especially where mine is mounted in the bed, if I need to clear underground parking ( my backrack hits anyhow...) I can bend it over or unscrew it.

I was talking about the radio though, not the antenna!

@Canoehead WHERE IS YOUR CB MOUNTED

    I can't remember seeing his....

I used to have mine wedged between the passenger seat and the center console, but this time I'm planning on doing something a little more permanent.

I'm pretty sure his is under the cupholder just floating around.

I actually just found this thread on a install that uses the radio I want, Looks pretty clean, the only diff is that I'd have to find an opening in the firewall to route my coax cable.

Ohhhhhhh I get it. It's not the type that has the little box thing you need to change channels and stuff. I follow now!

You could run your coax through the same grommet as the power wire could you not? I'm not sure if that would cause some sort of interference or not though.
