Gotcha. I've actually heard it's the preferred swap. I'm considering a v8 as well and depending on what kind of hurdles you deal with might be following in your footsteps. The only documented ls1 swap I've seen looked pretty hectic. I've also read the 5.3 completely stock has a very high power potential with forced induction. I recall an acritcle where a shop kept upping the boost on a stock 5.3 till it blew and they made it to like 30 psi and 1100 hp.

Gotta say I did the bumper. How do you like the bed liner on the whole truck? How does it work with the fiberglass?

Thanks man, the lineX is awesome! Holds up great and if the truck is all muddy just wash it with a pressure washer and thats it, no soap and looks brand new. It made the fiberglass much stronger and stiffer too.

Got a dummy block just resting in the truck to check for fitment. I also discovered the advanced adapter i got is for the "older" style 5 speed the 1st gen tacos came with 80's-95 models according to them. So they also said they do not make an adapter for the 5 speed in the newer trucks so using the current transmission is out the window. Gonna solve this with a fully built turbo 400 and atlas t-case. So my entire drivetrain will be for sale soon, engine, tranny, t-case20170123_182811.jpg20170123_201800.jpg

Got the stock radiator removed today. Got the new one setup along with the trans cooler in the bed. Everything is just resting in the bed for mockup. Relocating the jack aswell to make is easier to get to. And also ordered the new jazz 32 gallon fuel cell :bananadance:

I was sick this whole past week so progress slowed on the truck but i got the old fuel cell out, now just waiting on the big ole 32 gallon.

It collected a little bit of dirt underneath the cell, lol. Also have the motor mounts on the actual motor, just need to pull out the dummy block and remove the stock mounts from the frame so we can put on the neww ones :bananadance:
