    So what the fuck is the point of this big 3 upgrade? Unless you are running a higher output alternator I see no reason. Believe it or not toyota has a lot of very smart people who figure out what size wires are needed.

    In no way am I smart with this shit, but my guess that it's for those that add lights and other crap where more power is needed. If you're not adding stuff like that, then definitely not needed. But you add a 30" light, some pod lights, a Wench and more lights, shit adds up quick.

    But not from the alternator, led lights don't draw much amperage at all, and winch power gets connected directly to the battery posts

    Yeah the winch is hooked direct to battery, but how does the battery get replenished from the used up energy? Direct connection make best sense.

    Not trying to start an argument nor am I an engineer so yeah i could be wrong..
