I don't know why they wouldn't give you the same deal if you ordered it.

Yeah one would think, but there seems to be resistance to the idea. If I wait another week with no news, I think I'll force their hand so I can get one exactly the way I want it.

Looking forward to a local meet up eventually though. Good group here.

My dealers had no incentives on the Tacoma's because they just can't keep them on their lots. I was ready to order mine, but they found one at another dealer in NY.
A meet-up this summer would be cool!

Hey gang! I've tried to get a Rochester thread running in the past, but couldn't get any traction. Here's to hoping this one sticks!

I'm out of Greece and have a '16 DCSB TRD Off Road. Lifted (@HeadStrong Off-Road ) with tires, ditch lights (@ragofabrication and @CaliRaisedLed ), CB, rear power point in the driver's side bed storage box, bed cross bars (@RelentlessFab ), Wilco hitch mount rear tire carrier (@ewxlt66 ) and a roof top tent (Smittybuilt).

Would mind at all getting together with some of the other locals one of these days...

    Steve.

I grew up in Perry and would ride my bike to Letchworth. Haven't been there in years.

I drove down to DC to get a great deal on my MT. Only one within 500 miles at that time. Dorschel sales was horrible to work with and they even told me my truck in DC wasn't for sale.

Buddy of mine, a month ago, just got a DCSB OR MT from Hoselton. They shipped it to buffalo because they couldn't sell it then my buddy wanted it so they shipped it back for him. Lol

My last two services at Hoselton (5k and 10k) I asked them to check levels and they wouldn't. They said they don't till 30 k. Told me that they check washer fluid and stuff bu then 2 days later I ran out of washer fluid. I plan to only take it in every 10k for the free oil change and that's it. I can rotate my own tires.

Froejoe, I just picked it up from Hoseltons and they did add Tranny Fluid and reflashed the ECU. As soon as I told them that is was shifting poorly when cold, they told me that they knew what it was.
BTW, they did say that they were able to duplicate the problem...

Excellent! Glad to hear it. My experience with them was back in July when the TSB was first released. Perhaps they received enough complaints in the meantime to admit to the problem. Thanks for getting back to us.

Good find. I'm looking for a double cab OR 6MT with no options and not in black or gray (sick of having dark colored cars!). The most recent update is that my dealer is negotiating on a silver one that fits that criteria from another dealer in the Northeast. If that doesn't play, I'm going to put in an order for my agreed-upon deal.

I'm lucky that I get to park in our garage.
Did you loose power during the wind storm?

No power outage, thankfully. It's a 1950s style cape cod house with a detached, single-car garage. My 2010 barely fit in there, and I haven't tried the 2016 yet, as the garage is half-full with the wife's gardening paraphrenalia.

Can you share info about those racks/crossbars on your truck? Is that an OEM tonneau cover?

    Thx!

It is the OEM tonneau cover. The bars are Thule square bars that I used with some Thule feet I had for a different car that I modified to work with the cover. I also modified the crossbars with some short supports in the middle of them to help support them more. I have a thread going about a cheap RTT alternative were I talk about the bars a little more a long with pictures.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cheap-rtt-for-those-on-a-budget.478273/

My setup so far works really well for me but if I didn't have the Thule stuff already and wasn't willing to modify it I would definitely get the load bars from KBVooDoo!
