I haven't had much chance to wheel/camp yet, only had my truck since end of June. Friends and I have a camper and site in a campground near Peebles, OH at a mineral spring fed/made lake. Beautiful place for Ohio lol.

I kinda miss tent camping, though.

Meh tent camping sucks! RTT or camper shell is where it's at. Only peasants sleep on the ground now a days

Some people get too fancy with camping that it's not even camping anymore.

My heart wants to go camping but my bones say no. Don't want to buy a trailer that would get used 2 or 3 times a year and don't want to RTT or add a camper to the truck.

Guess I'll do my camping in a motel.

Bed bars are just another expense too. I really don't want anything hindering the ability to load multiple kayaks in bed or hauling stuff.

Don't care if it only takes 10 minutes to take something off to fit what I need in there, it's the fact it took me an extra 10 minutes to fuck with something in my way lol.
But it is a good idea by that OP. Ingenious!
Did. Might again. Probably not, my mind is still twisted.
I think I'm good with a 4-person ground tent and a cot. I see my drunk ass falling out of a RTT real easy like

It would take me 6 months to save $1k. All my extra money goes to my 401k. It's probably gonna serve me better than truck parts...

We only ever camp at beaches here. All we really need to bring are tents, which we rarely use, drinking water, beer, and a blanket. Crazy amount of different fresh fruits to pick and food from the ocean.

Good plan. And I hope at your young age and, I assume, lower wage bracket that you're putting a good portion of that into a Roth 401K. If not, look into it. Roth's work particularly well in that situation.

Yep, Roth! I'm putting in 3% right now. I'll kick up to 6% when my company restarts matching again.

Ah that makes sense, all my money goes to rent and truck parts! Gotta love being a stupid college student sometimes. But truck is "about done" for now. Just some minor things hopefully
