Awesome, thanks. I'll run out on my break and throw them in the cab so they don't get wet.

those of you thinking about buying from the Chinese manufacturer might want to beware. I started researching these after the post yesterday. found this post by CVT

Here is the Chinese MFT of CVT. Most RTT's can be found on Alibaba.com

    http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/21/a6ygu7un.jpg

Lol...This was the mfg. I think all in all they owe us over $40,000.00 for a few container's of horrible tents. We did use them but when the problems started they did not stand behind there product. We did. We replaced almost 30 tents we had problems with and even now we have replaced a few with the Roost Tents. I have contacted them numerous times and still nothing. This is why we moved production to the states on the hard shells. Now we have a great product with the Roost.
If you ever talk with them let them know they still owe us....Lol My favorite thing to hear as that we are the only company to have this problem. We also have no re-coarse, and that sucks..

We have a great product with this and have some great changes coming on it also. 280781

Totally different manufacturer than the one I'm talking to for RTTs. Wincar has had 3 successful GBs so far on TW and on Expo Portal with no issues. Iggy ran their tent for a while, and loved it.

This company is thoroughly vetted, not just looking for cheap tents. I'm looking for quality awnings/tents at less expense than their branded counterparts. That's it.

A lot of RTTs available, some sell here at 40% off of retail value like the recent Geo Adventure Gear group buy. Looks like half of them have defective ladders (getting replaced by Geo, FWIW).

Anyway.. there's always risks with dealing with China, but I've pretty thoroughly researched this idea and have talked to 2 other GB organizers on the phone and email about their experience, and nothing has popped up to cause me concern. I also haven't seen any complaints or issues with the product after each GB, so I'm confident that I wouldn't be ordering cheap Chinese crap.

My contact with the manufacturer has been in contact with me and answering questions for probably 6 months now, and before that, I probably had a month of researching on them and their product beforehand and talking to @Iggy about dealing with Chinese companies. He has a hand in this idea also, it's not just me doing everything, and he offered use of a large truck to pick up product at the port ourselves. I had to create a business entity to even get a response from this manufacturers because without one they wouldn't talk to me. Outside of a recent lapse in comms in February, smooth sailing on all ends so far.

Again, sucks for CVT, but that isn't the same manufacturer I'm speaking with.

We all know Iggy, and how he looks at things with a critical eye and improves on them if they're not to his standard, and he had zero issues with his RTT. Before he went full expo, he wanted one of their hard shell RTTs.

So, again.. these are legit. Company is legit. It's just a lot of work to get this together and get it done, that and pricing confirm is the only reason I've waited this long to test the waters - and expense.

Risk exists with everything - try buying a bumper from Relentless before you have a trip planned in 6 months. Relentless makes great shit, so risk isn't solely due to Chinese manufacturers. Nobody is protected from risk, and if the risk is too much then someone shouldn't buy and spend the money elsewhere.

I'm just offering the idea. Nobody should buy if they aren't comfortable doing so.

They Rule! Prehistoric Dog is the best album by far but it's all good. They are a good mix of early Soundgarden (louder than love album) and Corrosion of Conformity

Nice, i'll be sure to listen to that album. I like them because they sound like they are straight out of the 90s with that sound, which I'm down with.

This made me laugh. It's on the Poly Performance web site landing page for Tacoma applications. Is there a subliminal message here?
