Thanks! Biggest DIY project I've taken on so far with my rig.
Pretty happy how it came out. Still have some fine tuning to do on it but at the moment it hasn't fallen off so I consider it a successful project thus far.

As far as the letters go, they are aluminum and I got them from a TW member making them:

Almost bought this old Chevy once that had 44" tires. To get in, the guy had a tie down strap in the cab tied to the seat. To get in the truck, you'd have to pull it out and use the strap as a step (much like your buddy). That thing was a beast.

You'll love the BAMF sliders. I have them on my truck but I did go with the angle and a kick-out. The wifey-poo uses it to get in and out fine.

The kick-out has been hit by someone's bumper (bluish green car judging by the paint mark) and all I had to do is repaint the scrape. It pushed the truck sideways an inch or two in the back judging by the scrape on the pavement where the tires slid. I'd hate to have seen the side of my truck had I not had the slider.

I use them to lift the side of the truck with a Hi-Lift all the time. They don't flex a bit. (I always put jack-stands under once it's jacked up.)

The holes in the frame were a pain to drill but it is SOLID. I'm just over 200 pounds and I can jump on it and they don't even flex a bit.

BAMF's powder coating sucks though. I had rust within a year even in Florida. I just sanded them down then painted them with bed liner and they are holding up nicely now.

    Awesome!!

I think they are full bolt on now (no drilling) and I heard him say they recently changed their coating system.

We shall see!!! I'm pretty pumped

I dated a Filipino, 5' tall, maybe less and I had a step stool she would use to get in, then I'd toss it in the back. She liked to wear short skirts and I ALWAYS got a nice shot as she'd get in!  She'd just hop out but getting in she couldn't hoist herself up that high. This was in a lifted Chevy 2500.

I'd heard they changed the design, hopefully for the better. I think it took 3 or 4 holes on each side with the old design.

Fingers crossed for you that their coating is better now.

    Interesting...

I'm going to be making a decent sized road trip this Friday (taking the kiddos to Disneyland, yay!) so I'm asking if it's worth it to get some sandbags and throw them in my bed... I have a tonneau cover but besides a cooler and a suitcase there will be nothing else back there for the whole ride.

    Suggestions welcome...!
