    I have a good seal there. They make a foam that fits there to make up that gap if ya dont have one installed.

    New outer pinion bearing and seal, new exhaust flange gasket that Toyota forgot to replace during frame swap. No more false reading o2 sensor throwing cel.
    So nice to drive a quiet truck now! That pinion bearing was howling like a pack of coyotes on a fresh kill

    Next task will be front diff fluid and transmission drain and re fill

    Well the trooper who helped me out shot the deer. The collision repair place said about $8500 and that's including my aftermarket parts. The sad part is it's going to take a month to repair. I got a Corolla as a rental car.

    I think thats what my issue is....pinion seal went 15k miles ago and i think the shop reused the bearing

    It's a joke. A lot of people like their trucks until they get on here an find out all the things that are "wrong" with it. Normally I ignore all the complaining but some of these actual problems are getting to be a lot.
