My retirement plans were built around working a few more years. I can survive if I go out now, but I'm on my own with savings/401K. I'd rather keep my paycheck a few more years. Good Lord willing, I'll be around a while yet. I don't want to burn up what I have saved. Jobs like mine don't grow on trees. Doubtful someone my age can just go out and find something right away with this sort of income. I have to "retire" in order to draw on 401K without major penalty. Biggest single expense would be health insurance. That's "free" now through the job. That would be gone. We're shelling out quite a bit to raise 2 grand kids also. Life would be much more predictable if this asshole would just dry up and blow away.....It's a fucked up deal.

Stick it out best you can if possible. From the history you've given, the GM revolves a lot there in your time so far. This too shall pass.

I left for the funeral on Thursday after a conversation with the club president. In that talk, I sort of threw down the gauntlet.....Either they get rid of him, or he'll probably get rid of me. Either way, I've just about had all I can take. The drama started almost 4 years ago with the dismissal of the previous GM, then the hiring of this latest clown. I've been dealing with this shit way too long. Starting to wear on my health. The thing is, the people who could fire him, also HIRED him. Letting him go would be akin to admitting they made a mistake. It would enable them to save face if they gave me the boot first. That's the kind of loyalty 28 years of hard work earns a working man.

This has nothing to do with LBL, other than why I'm down to one day there at best.....

    Jesus!
It's definitely a damned if you, damned if you don't situation. I don't even know what to really say. I've been in a similar situation, but was able to find work again relatively easy.
Your boss needs to go in the worst way.

Moving to the cab rail or driver's side though. The drop brackets were bought here from @RelentlessFab
T-slot nuts are usually a 3/8" tapped hole and 1/4" hardware is used for the quickfists, you'll need to make something to go from the hardware of the nut to the fist.

Like $40 man. That's not powder coat lol

You could probably do it with some flat bar, a torch, and a vise. A drill would be handy too :)
